Why do they keep saying "GSW" all the time? It's just stupid. If you're writing a report, sure, "GSW" is shorter than "gunshot wound". But speaking? "Gee Es Double U", it has no meaning, and it's waaaay longer than "shot". It's even longer than "gunshot wound". Why on Earth would somebody use an abbreviation that doesn't abbreviate at all?
