This is a well made slasher, surprising it didn’t get a sequel.

Makeup and special effects made by the master Tom Savine are really great as usual. It’s a shame that the killer’s full appearance is only shown in the ending, which causes impact for sure (you’re not really expecting THAT much of an ugly face). The problem with this choice is that it makes the kills somewhat boring throughout the movie. We don’t get their full potential due the fact that the killer can’t be seen by the audience.

The killer has a look that is different enough so it can get some spotlights. He's got a cool origin story, a creepy look and his killing weapon is also a good choice. All of this, makes the film feel a little bit more fresh.

I liked the acting, it is better than most of these films. We have Jason Alexander and Holly Hunter among the cast. Always cool seeing famous actors while they were young starting their careers and doing these types of movies.

Rick Wakeman is responsible for the soundtrack and simply putting, it’s awesome. There’s no way to dislike it.

The pacing is kind of slow, I got bored a bit. Certainly a good slasher though, recommended.
