The whole whisperers and their masks is so stupid. So you just put a mask and you become invisible to zombies. Leaving this aside why didn’t the other side just put masks as well to defend from whisperers and “invisibly” kill the wave of zombies sent by them.

@felixgotrek Leaving aside the fact that zombies being able to smell is just as stupid, as they are rotten flesh just a tiny mask can provide the necessary smell for a horde of zombies to ignore you? Not to mention that that skin that the mask is made of it dries in few days and doesn't produce that much of a smell. I'm not referring to this episode in particularly but to the whole idea of whispers.

@daniels0xff Yeah it's ridiculous. One of the most iconic scenes of the show is when Rick and Glenn drape themselves in entrails and still end up having to run because the rain starts washing some of the blood off. 10 seasons later that all goes out the window and Beta can push his way through a crowd of walkers already attracted by noise just because he slapped half of someone's face onto his head?

@mrnewell True dude we not supose to think XD

@daniels0xff

You do realize that zombies are not real ? That there are no "rules" to follow ?
It is a show ! They can do whatever the hell they want !

@larcenet They should be smart about it. Thor is not real, The house on the haunted hill is not real. Still quality TV makes sense in its own universe. Random garbage is when the fanbase is too strong and they can do anything as people will just take it. You're telling me if Spiderman and captain Jean Luc Picard come to save Atlanta you're just going to take it as "zombies are not real anyway"?

@daniels0xff My perception is that ß has spent so much time amongst walkers (I guess without many showers) that it's not only the mask that provides cover. It's his hole clothes, and even his own hair and skin drenched in zombie dirt for so many months. Plus he knows how to move and manoeuvre between walkers, and all of that doesn't automatically come from just putting a mask.

Still, I agree some things feel forced, but as someone else noted it's a show and sometimes we have to deal with this kind of things :-)
