In all seriousness, they're definitely planning on killing her off soon. The cast was interviewed during comic con and Melissa McBride didn't seem like she was into it anymore, and her mannerisms hinted at being tired of the role/leaving soon.

It’s hilarious how you are all bitching about Carol like she is a real person. If you don’t like what is happening with the character, blame the writers. Seems like they are making everyone hate on Carol so they can kill her off. They don’t want the fans turning the tv off because they killed the Carol we all loved.
