Melissa McCarthy is a great actress and this script gave her the opportunity to shine (now if she can just pull away from all the vulgar projects her husband seems to get her involved in. I know, he was involved in getting her this role, too). It isn't easy to play despicable and accessible at the same time. Richard E. Grant also does fine work. An interesting story. A great sound track (subtle and fitting the characters). 3 Oscars on the line. I give this film an 8 (great) out of 10. [Drama]
