Bird Box had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The movie takes on a mostly dark and depressing tone, but has just the right amount of well timed comedic relief and lighter moments.
Going into Bird Box I didn't expect much, as I haven't been super impressed by any of Netflix's movies (shows are different) But by the second act, I knew regardless of how the movie resolved I'd be glad I watched it.
The violence and gore are prominent, so if that's something that turns you away from movies this might not be for you. It isn't excessive but it's definitely there.
I would highly recommend this movie. Potentially my favorite thriller I watched this year.
