I really disliked how they killed the feel good mood established by the wonderful (and unlikely) family reunion from the previous episode, by making Queen Dagmar some sort of villain. I'm sure that will provide some interesting storytelling in the second season, but they were really onto something nice, there, so I wish they hadn't ruined that.
And why hasn't Elfo been brought back to life yet with some magical mumbo jumbo? Come on... This is a fantasy show, after all!

All in all, this season truly got better towards the last few episodes (better tuned sense of humour and more emotional episodes) and this season finale was quite good, because of the Queen Dagmar twist, and also quite bad, because that cliffhanger will leave us suffering until the next season hits the screens!
