@datbabyaintmine That was awesome right. I heard it I the trailer last week and got super nerdy excited for the Whisperer War as a fan of comics. I tried to avoid spoilers earlier, but, yeah, the talking zombies plotline is exciting. It keeps evolving too. Drum snare

@datbabyaintmine Right on. I also love how the show is different and keeps comic book nerds like me surprised too, so it's not like I know everything that will happen. By the way, comic still has Carl and Rick. So. Different
@slipthrough-dan Yeah, Rick was an unexpected departure from the show. Andrew Lincoln said, he couldn't bare being from his family for 6 months out of the year, every year. I think his departure might breathe new life back in to the series. To be honest, I was growing bored of the character.
@datbabyaintmine It looks like his story isn't done yet, eh. I agree, I'm liking how his departure adds a lot of new territories to explore. I heard on Talking Dead that Rick will return in 3 movies on AMC. That's 2 months away from family in UK versus 6-9. And that means more compelling new territories to explore. For now, I can't wait to see next episode.

Damn. That opening?! Great on a few different levels.
Carol strikes a match. So good! Protective of her cub, just a bit. Nice arc from her intro as battered wife in season 1, who couldn't even protect herself.
Michonne looks to be a protective mama bear too. Nice surprise reveal of Grimes Jr.
The Eugene and Rosita scenes were intense. Negan also had a moment to shine with a parallel metaphor, making him a dog. Foreboding foreshadowing in both scenarios.
Strong episode overall. Compelling story developments and intense thrills. I'm excited for this new chapter of TWD and the oncoming Whisperer War.
