American Made 2017

An entertaining 2 hours movie, following(loosely) the story of pilot Barry Seal and his involvement with drug cartels and CIA.

Beautifully shot, with nice aerial footage, it has a very 70's feel that I really enjoyed. The story is well paced for the most part, even though I think about 15 minutes could have been cut and not missed.

Tom Cruise delivers once again a good performance, playing convincingly the main character. I really liked the protagonist's character; while morally questionable, it no doubt has a lot of charisma that pulls you in. Also nice that he doesn't feel like a super awesome action hero, but looks more like a regular dude who finds himself between a rock and a hard place.

I enjoyed all the famous people that Seal manages to meet, from Noriega to George W. Bush. It really connects the film with the real world.

In the end, nothing crazy good, but still a nice way to spend an evening. 7.5/10
