Important. There is is 3 versions of this movie. The original Theatrical Cut (1992), a special edition and the Assembly Cut (2003). These a quite different. I thought the Theatrical Cut was bad when it cam out but when I say the Assembly Cut it showed a much better movie that made a lot more sense. Do yourself a favor and see that version.
