@hereistom The reason why you thinks its bad is, because you might not have watched the whole season. I just watched the final and can say that its NO WASTE OF TIME

There are enough better series!
@hereistom the series is a bit slow, yes, but almost all stuff in this genre is slow. They do a lot of world-building.
Story is clear since episode one though: find the person who murdered Bancroft.

@hereistom The original books are just that, very original science fiction. Certainly Altered Carbon is influenced by works like Electric Sheep and Neuromancer, even Metrophage was a "dystopic future where technology replaces morality," but it's still a unique series, whether you're reading the books or watching the series. Visuals are sometimes reminiscent of past works, but again, the meat is new. Stories like this and The Expanse are some of the best of modern science fiction.
