Um, if Trip needs his universal translator to understand Kaitaama, why doesn't he need it to understand Goff?

And speaking of plot holes, where did Kaitaama get a nightgown?

This episode might as well be set in Trope City. We have a woman who's mean to Trip because she secretly loves him and fears her own emotions. We have Archer inexplicably turned into a mean guy for one single episode. ("We'll leave the outer hatch unlocked"? "If you decide to leave, you know the way out"? Really? That's not Archer.) And we have inept criminals who pose absolutely no real threat.

Ugh. Everything about this episode is just so meh. None of the characters really make sense, and there are no real stakes because we know Enterprise will win right from the start. They can't possibly lose to such bumbling idiots, can they?

It's really no wonder this was voted 10th worst episode of the Star Trek franchise at the 50th anniversary convention in Las Vegas. Even Brannon Braga (one of Enterprise's executive producers and a long-time veteran of the Star Trek franchise) called it one of the worst episodes ever. If Braga says it's bad, it's gotta be real bad.
