The Bourne Legacy is widely considered the worst movie in the Bourne franchise. After watching Jason Bourne I can tell you that thats still the case, Legacy is still the worst one. However JB Is definitely the runner up.

The action in the movie is still up to Bourne standards. I would put it above Supremacy and Legacy but not Identity or Ultimatum. There is actually less shaky cam and I applaud them for the opening riot scene and the cool ass car chase. however I would love to have Bourne (Matt Damon) in a regular car like the previous movies instead of a Dodge Challenger, because that's what Bourne does. The best fight was when Jason and the bad guy went head to head in the drainage area under the casino and for most of the fight there wasn't any music. Just them too fighting and you hear their grunts and such but that's it. It felt more raw, and I liked that.

Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass said they would never come back to make another Bourne unless they believed in the story. I feel like the story itself is fine. Jason is trying to find out what his dad was involved in, however I don't think they pulled it off in the way they were thinking. The story arc about Big Dream or whatever the social network is in the movie is pointless. I know they were trying to be relevant to today but it didn't happen. Also the Snowden name drops weren't needed, did they think we forgot about it or something? Anyway there is a good story in there somewhere it just wasn't fleshed out enough for this movie.

All the performances of the movie were pretty top notch and expected from a Bourne film. The only weird part was whenever Alicia Vikander spoke it was always in monotone. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but it was annoying.

Will they make another one? Most definitely, but I am not sure if it will be Damon or Renner's character next. I do know that Jason Bourne still made a lot of money. It was $414M worldwide on a $125M budget. So it was the 2nd highest grossing Bourne film behind The Bourne Ultimatum's $442M on a $120M budget.

Identity $214M on $60M Budget
Supremacy $288M on $75M Budget
Legacy $276M on $125M Budget

(All of these worldwide numbers)
