So, basically Sheldon stole an unknown amount of money from his friends and they let it slide?
Yeah, no. That's not funny and definitely by far not the best episode in years.
It once again shows how far Sheldon is willing to go to get his way while everyone around him suffers the consequences.
Especially the Stuart part was simply stupidity driven. If I find a flashdrive, I wouldn't blindly erase it and if I had a store I definitely would put it in a Lost & Found box. That's the least bit of responsibility you could expect even from Stuart.

Somehow I feel like the part with the laptop is something we've seen before exactly like that. I do have Ross Geller with a glass of wine in his hand in mind but I doubt it was from Friends.

@guffed So, you make a baseless claim but I have to proof anything? That's not how this works. You claim it's the best, then explain why. I did explain why it isn't already. If you personally find this funny that's your opinion but it doesn't make this episode anywhere "best in years".
However, just to amuse you, every other episode of this season was better, especially "The Geology Methodology".
TBBT isn't what it was 8 years ago. But this season the characters actually grow and evolve, even Sheldon - until this very episode where we make a lot of steps back for the episode's plot to happen.

@ds1 let's say Leonard did still have the Keychain, I guarantee that it would have been erased somehow or contain no bitcoins because they kept getting side swiped by other life events.

@izzmo Perhaps, but that doesn't matter whatsoever.

@ds1 ..right.. because I'm speculating, but it hardly doesn't matter.

@izzmo No, because it has absolutely nothing to do with the first and foremost action of Sheldon deliberately stealing money from his friends to "teach them a lesson" or rather to get his own way. Therefore it doesn't matter that they would get "side swiped" by other events if Leonard would still have the keychain. Sheldon is at fault here for stealing from his friends, not other theoretical life events potentially responsible for losing those bitcoins.
Now, if you'd like, go on with your sarcastic replies, I won't bother with that, though.

@ds1 it would be more fun if they were at Stuart's when talking about the Batman flash drive and he started next episode doing something resembling becoming rich.
