More gritty and violent where even Charles Xavier has a foul mouth. Logan is about as serious and dark as Batman vs Superman. Why is it better ? Well because it's bad ass and wasn't an over-stuffed mess. A more fitting ending though would have been if Wolverine became a Xavier like mentor to all the new mutants. The ending could have been better. Otherwise the movie was good.
