I can't imagine a life without Supernatural. I just can't. I don't even consider it as a possibility. I love this show so damn much. I love that it has me in stitches one scene and it makes me cry like a baby the next. Supernatural is the best damn thing that's ever happened to me.
DEAN: "You remember what happened last time we had front row tickets to the Lucifer/Michael show? 'Cause I do. You died and went to Hell. But see, this time the apocalypse isn't looking for us. We're actually looking for it. I don't care what happens to me. I never really have. But I do care about what happens to my brother".
SAM: "Dean, we're going to that place, and we're gonna save Jack and Mom. Together. And if something happens, we will deal with it together. And if we die? We'll do that together, too".
sobs uncontrollably Now THAT was a powerful scene. I'll never be thankful enough to Supernatural for giving me scenes like this. Scenes that leave me heartbroken but that emphasize that family bond that I so love. Not only did those words hit me like a million stones, but also the acting. The damn feels in this talk. "If we die, we'll do it together" is the epitome of Supernatural. These brotherly moments are killing me this season. These two are killing me this season. Dean is giving me all sort of feelings. I'm so glad they got to talk about their feelings without shouting at each other or hiding everything from one another.
Dean bringing up season 5 and Sam saying "yes" to Lucifer was a great foreshadowing, especially since he'll probably say "yes" to a certain someone in apocalypse take 2. I also loved that Sam spoke his mind and told Dean that he's sick and tired of being sidelined. Highlight of the episode.
Leave that ending scene aside, the episode was excellent. When I think I can't love Richard Speight Jr more than I do, this episode happens. He was beyond awesome and I've missed his sass so damn much.
So we got: Richard Speight Jr playing Gabriel fighting Richard Speight Jr playing Loki in an episode directed by Richard Speight Jr. This whole episode was a Richard Speight Jr-ception. He did an amazing job at playing two different characters and directing the episode. Seriously, hats off. God, I love Gabriel so damn much.
The cinematography was great, especially that flickering light fight scene. Words can't express how much I loved it. And the music was top notch. I loved Gabriel's entrance, btw. It suited him. I'm glad that after all the torturing Gabriel is still Gabriel. I loved that he popped up, covered in blood, knocked on the door and said "Hey fellas, looking for me?"
The scene when he snapped and talked about the torture he was subjected to and how he planned his revenge was magnificent. He was a prisoner for eight freaking years. No wonder he was so afraid.
Gabriel got some mad lines tonight. I especially enjoyed his description of Asmodeus as "Kentucky Fried B-Hole". So fitting. Btw, I'm using "Raspberries" as my new curse word from now on. That got me giggling uncontrollably for some reason. I also loved his "Don't let anybody tell you, you're just a pretty face". The delivery was great. And the Kill Bill references were on point.
Jensen has the best facial expressions. The scene when Gabriel was talking about port stars and Dean wanted to hear it all had me in stitches.
I loved how they tied every loose end in Gabriel's storyline. Somehow I found Loki's story extremely entertaining, even much more than Gabriel's. But no way he went down so easily. I highly doubt he's dead. He's the real trickster after all. The scene when Gabriel was confronting Loki reminded me of the episode "Dream a Little Dream of Mine", when Dean faced a demon version of himself.
Loki's lollipop suitcase got me laughing so hard. The same happened with Sleipnir randomly munching a carrot.
We got two excellent elevator scenes in a row. No matter the show, elevator scenes are always the best. Add to it that "Hammer of the Gods" music and then it's just perfect.
I loved seeing Jack again. He's so pure and innocent it hurts. That cinnamon roll needs to be protected at all costs. He protected Mary with his wings! Excuse me while I die of cuteness. Him being impatient and confident was so in character. That boy is just a kid so it's normal that he thinks he's invincible. I loved the bond between Mary and Jack and how she referred to him as her boy.
I so look forward to Jack finally meeting Lucifer. Just imagining how the scene can turn out to be gives me the goosebumps. The same goes for Lucifer's reaction to Gabriel being alive. I need that asap.
Poor Kevin. There's no one in the Supernatural world that I can think of who has been more abused and mistreated than Kevin. If someone deserves a happy ending, that's him. I'm sad Sam and Dean didn't get to see him again, 'cause they could've just told him that his mom was still alive on their earth and bring him back home. I love Kevin so damn much and so, that scene was hard to watch.
Now we've got Sam, Dean, Cas, Gabriel and Rowena as the new Supernatural squad. I'm digging it and I'm so looking forward to see them interact with each other, especially Gabriel and Rowena.
Sam calling Gabriel, Gabe was so cute. Who would've thought that after killing Dean 100 times and leaving him thinking he was really dead for 6 months, Sam would've bonded so much with him?
I loved when the boys were in the motel talking about important stuff bed starts to rumble. Dean: "Bonus!" Lol. It's a pity he didn't get the time to enjoy it, though.
I've been wondering something, this season we've seen Lucifer, Michael and Gabriel, but no sign of Raphael. Wonder if he'll pop up or if he's not even gonna show up.
