I don't get all the hate for this episode... It was silly, absurd, over-the-top...which is something Doom Patrol has embraced since the very beginning. The completely insane stuff in this show and "singing" is where people draw the line? I thought the episode was a blast. I agree with what someone else said, one's enough...but the one was silly and fun, just like everything else in this silly show.
Brenden Fraiser's jerk-off song? I mean...LOL....
I was a fan of the Orville in Season 1 and Season 2. It was a fun show that wasn't serious or take itself seriously (with maybe the occasional minor exception). However, New Horizons is a completely different animal. Not only has The Orville turned into something I never expected it would be, but it's taken the mantel from the Star Treks of old and run with it - showing the current Star Treks how they could've done it. Highly recommend.
This was a tough episode to watch. Some of these characters are so painfully stupid it hurts. Everything Melanie has done up to now has kept them alive and they're ready to toss her out a window b/c their feelings are hurt....not even thinking that they might as well jump out after her b/c she's the only one that knows how to run the damn train.
Well, it's finally ended... It started great...ended...a bit subpar. Glad to see Tom Cavangh back. It could've been worse, I guess. Grant Gustin gave us the best Flash, regardless of how lackluster it got near the end. Here's to the better years.
Just happy this arc is over....
One of my favorite episodes in a long time - I loved the Andrew Lloyd Webber theme.
First off, I (like a lot of others watching this) am a huge fan of the original anime series. If you go into watching this series with the expectation that it's going to be as good as the original, you'll be disappointed. However, if you can step back and take it on its own, I really didn't think it was a bad show.
I had the expectation that they were going to work new bounties/cases as part of this but a lot of it is more retellings of some of the original show's stories. Most of these had enough of the original to immediately recognize it but also included some changes or twists to the original as well.
I really liked John Cho as Spike. I wasn't sure it was going to work but it did (for me at least). I even liked Mustafa Shakir as Jet (although the whole family man storyline felt a little off).
The only part of this new series that I really didn't like was what they did with Vicious. In the original material, Vicious was a real badass, modern-day samurai psycho that felt dangerous. In this version...well, another commenter said it best. He felt more like Viserys Targaryen...more of a joke than a real threat. I also wasn't thrilled with all the changes to the Julia story. That storyline was integral to who Spike is as a character and it felt completely minimalized in this version...
All things considered though, I did enjoy this take on the source material and really would've liked to see it get a second season.
I wasn't a fan of Tusk...but this "sequel" was the perfect blend of stupid and funny. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to.
This Christmas special is demented...in the best possible way!
I love Bob's Burgers. It's one of my favorite shows which is what initially attracted me to The Great North. I will admit it started off slow but it's definitely growing on me. It's not Bob's Burgers but it's coming into its own and deserves a watch if you like Bob's Burgers.
Really going to miss Troy....but what a great episode. One of my favorites.
I've never seen a single episode of the anime version of One Piece but this live-action has inspired me to go look up the original. Well done.
Eh, I get the point of the episode, but 90%+ taxes on whatever they wish for? Kind of silly...
Once again, the best gets eliminated early... Dont know why I keep watching...
I might've liked the movie more if I hadn't read the book first. But I did...and I didn't.
I know I'm not the first to say it, but the opening of this show is the greatest opening in the history of shows. Not only did I never skip it once, I even repeated it a few times. The show rules too, of course!
I agree with what another reviewer said - if you love Bob's Burgers, you'll love the movie. It's got everything I love about the show. The humor, the drama, the music. I enjoyed it a lot.
This show is one of my favorite shows on "TV" of all time. Yes, there are ups and downs but taken as a whole, it is exquisite.
This movie is so bad it crosses over into accidental comedy territory...once that happens, it's actually better.
This one killed me. In what world does a tone-deaf tiger sing-talk his way to beating Chaka Khan in a singing contest?
When the action/fight sequences were happening, it was decent. When it was just relying on the acting...ugh...
I really thought I'd be disappointed with Ruby Rose no longer being Batwoman, but I have to say, at least for the first two episodes, I'm really digging Javicia Leslie in the role. Looking forward to more!
I know this version gets a bad rap for making some large departures from the source material, but I feel like the result is a much deeper (and more despicable) character portrait of Scrooge. I continue to enjoy this version.
Good start. Episode 1 was a good take on a very well-known story. It's not the horror version I was expecting based on the concept art, but it's a good dark retelling of the story.
Really bad... From the cartoon-looking blood to the almost non-existent plot. The fight scenes were the only decent thing about it but even that got old after awhile.
