The House with a Clock in Its Walls

I loved the begining, but the ending was very sloppy.
The set design was great, the camera work on point and the main cast perfectly matched.

The film has many flaws, but overall it is an enjoyable movie for the whole family.

Venom

Didn't like the movie, but super excited for the sequel.
Tom Hardy was good, the writing bad, the story so generic and the CGI very poor for that kind of movie.
Make the sequel like the last scene before the credits and improve on the above and we will have a great movie.

American Horror Story: Season 8

Not the best season of AHS, but a satisfying one. It was fun seeing familiar faces and places once again and the finale felt like a solid conclution to this chapter.

Roma

A masterclass on filmmaking by Alfonso Cuaron.
Not much else I can say.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado

A strong sequel to a great movie.
Although it never reaches the greatness of the first one, the story is compelling, the sound is on point and, to be honest, you just cannot not route for Benicio del Toro, who gives an excellent performance.

Halloween

There are good and interesting things here, but they are being overshadowed by some very bad and lazy choises this film decides to do.
Just so much potential thrown away.

A Cure for Wellness

"A Cure for Wellness" is a modern gothic horror tale with breathtaking imagery.

Gore Verbinski presented his vision pure and unfiltered and this is something rare nowadays which I fully appreciate and is the reason why I am willing to oversee the structural issues that the film definitely has.

The Nun

The set pieces were really good, the camera work wasn't bad either, but the lack of originality and a compelling main villian make 'The Nun' not a good movie.
Not to metion the awful attempts for connecting it with the previous 'Conjuring' movies...

Searching

A well-crafted thriller filmed in a very unique way.
A must-see for 2018.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs

Instant classic.
Each and every story was handled with care, love and wit. I really loved Liam Neeson's and Tom Waits' arc and the last chapter blew my mind.

Sorry to Bother You

Super weird movie, but thought-provoking. Not always funny, but definetely original.
The message was clear, but I think they should have pushed harder not only on the weirdness but also on the importance of the message itself.
Tessa Tompson was really good.
