Honestly, my favorite episode by far. Jonah in his natural habitat delivering a VERY GOOD (AT GUN) performance. I also probably replayed his "huldufolk" at least 15 times. I really hope there's a bunch of bloopers for this episode.
this is precisely the type of mindfuck i like
EDIT: AFTER SEASON 3 (Final Season)
Wow. Just wow. When I started the series I thought it was beautiful and wonderfully written, but I didn't think it'd be this absolute masterpiece by the end of it all. You can tell the whole series was well-thought out since the beginning--everything from the cast to the dialogue, plot, music, etc was spot-on. One of my top 3 shows for sure hands down. This show is so agonizingly underrated. If you haven't watched it yet, please do. You will not regret it.
This episode is officially my favorite in this whole series. (sorry Miller, love ya but this one takes the cake)
This show seriously gets better with each and every season. With most sci fi shows, the plot and theme tend to become redundant or lost along the way, but not with Expanse. It stays true to its core and only continues to improve upon the story contextually and visually. It's highly underrated and deserves so much more recognition.
It's slow but it's beautiful. With that said, I don't think it's for everyone. The story itself is ok. It reminds me of Dark meets Ex Machina meets Black Mirror, but with a dreamy soundtrack. Honestly, the soundtrack and some of the aesthetic idyllic shots were my favorite parts and what made it more watchable. If you're looking for a moody, melancholic mind-bender you may like this one.
Ok I'm only on Episode 1, but I've already encountered multiple WTF moments that have me hooked on the show more than ever. If you haven't started the show and think it's just another mediocre, overly-hyped superhero story like I did, boy are you in for a ride. The filmography will def blow your mind
To anyone who is still skeptical about this show: give it a chance! IMO the first four episodes felt like the producers & writers weren't sure where they wanted to go with the story and character arcs, but from episode 5 and on the show is truly amazing. I won't give any spoilers, but please stick around till at least episode 5 to decide whether or not you want to continue watching.
This reminds me of Elite, but much better because the plot isn't based off inane drama. The action and the violence feels warranted and the cast does an amazing job at portraying it.
My most to least favorite:
1) The Commuter
2) Safe and Sound (only because I like the world it's set in and I'd love to see more of it)
3) Impossible Planet
4) Human Is
5) Real Life
6) Kill All Others
7) Crazy Diamond
8) Father Thing
9) Hood Maker
10) Autofac
