Some biopics fabricate the truth but this film, based on the true story of Weird Al, is an accurate depiction of the talented accordion player and singer. He will never be forgotten.
Predictable and cliched but good performances and a fine sense of humour elevate this Brit flick.
Excellent special effects but more Godzilla and less human drama would have served this film better.
Two thirds of a good movie. A miscast Zegler and the decision to turn this into a semi-musical undermines this prequel.
Yup, its bad. The director aimed for a grounded superhero movie but she somehow mistook grounded for boring. Good actors are stuck in a badly paced movie that has little to recommend it.
The kind of film that will haunt you for days. It's scary to think this piece of history didn't happen all that long ago.
Yet another bad movie from Tim Story. It certainly blackened my mood.
The futuristic aesthethic was a delight. However, the story lacked the spark to maintain my interest for long. Perhaps it needed more time in the writer's pod.
Delightfully funny comedy with brilliant performances from the leads and an aesthetic that evokes the work of 70s great Hal Ashby. More like this please.
The winning performances of the two leads elevate this funny and relatable comedy.
Even worse than expected. But at least the scenery is nice!
Decent historical drama with some good battle scenes. Check out my interview with Tom Connolly, the lead actor, here - https://www.thereviewgeek.com/interview-tomconnolly/
Predictable but there are a handful of fun moments in this derivative comedy.
Not awful but not particularly good either. The wintry setting adds atmosphere but the film becomes less interesting as it goes on.
Too twisty for its own good, but there are lots of fun moments in this entertaining - but overlong - movie.
Despite the Peter Pan subplot, this isn't suitable for family viewing. It's central theme about women not being beholden to men is honourable but thanks to a weak script and a wooden performance from the lead, this is a chore to sit through.
Plays like a TV movie at times and the resolution to the mystery is underwhelming. The cast is good though, so see it for the performances and not the story.
The kind of film that could have been better if more thought had been put into the script. It's lightly enjoyable but don't expect to remember much about it.
Expect a franchise including the titles Body Baker and Chainsaw Maker. This film is well made but ultimately, another excuse to rub our faces in violence.
Put this one out to pasture.
A good, twisty thriller, with some excellent performances.
Half of a good horror movie. Becomes a little tiresome towards the end but its not as bad as some people have been saying.
The silly and funny movie is (mostly) grrrreat!
A bright, colourful, and funny chocolate box of a movie. It's deliciously sweet with a nutty centre... a bit like Wonka himself.
Mike Leigh's son directs a film that is close in tone to those of his fathers. It tkes a while to get going but around the midway point, this becomes something quite special.
Its a miracle I didn't all asleep while watching this movie. The cast is good but the story is lacklustre and slightly dull.
In truth, not that good. But some nifty direction and a wack-a-doodle performance from Cage elevates this B-movie thriller.
The movie never flies but it occasioally attempts some semblance of a lift-off thanks to some good performances
A sad and relatable drama. There is hope...but it still hurts.
Okay animated movie for kids but anybody older than 10 will likely be bored.
