I would be fine if the show was just dumb but it is boring too. The plot is full of holes. The characters are shallow or unlikable. There are like 10 plotlines that go nowhere and the conclusion is not worth the wasted time. There are a few fun moments (intentionally and unintentionally) but most of the time you gonna just wait for things to happen.
It's visually stunning and I like seeing the old characters on the screen again but I recommend watching TNG instead. It's much more fun.
It's what every sports anime ever wanted to be but this one actually does it right.
It is very well made and the girls are very sympathetic but as someone who is no a fan the only really interesting part was how they trained and how they were selected to be in the group. There is not a lot of story there afterwards. I feel like there will be in the future but it is just too soon to make this documentary.
Will be there for part 2 in 10 years.
Another entry in the "Tomorrow" franchise.
Didn't like this one so much. Edge of Tomorrow and The Day After Tomorrow were way better. At least it was better than Tomorrowland but Tomorrow Never Dies is still my favorite movie in this series.
The tv show Community episode 'Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design' is a better version of this movie. What that instead. It's a lot more fun and only 20 minutes.
I really regretted watching this
It is shocking to me how realistic this 2011 movie is. Now living in the ongoing 2019/2020/2021 pandemic makes this movie so much harder to review just on a cinematic level. The events depicted in this movie are so close to reality in some of the storylines it doesn't even seem real that this is now almost 10 years old.
I haven't seen this movie before 2021 but I know if I had seen this movie before living it I would have rated it much worse. Especially Jude Law's character would have seemed to me silly and over-the-top but in 2021 it seemed to me the most real of all of the characters.
How did this happen?
This movie makes me want to go back to 2011 where this seemed silly. But I can't. Watching this in 2021 makes me anxious which other dystopian fantasies might become real in the future.
If it weren't for the "big twist" I would have liked this movie a lot more.
For fans of Tarantino this documentary offers nothing new. If you don't know every movie he has made this might interest you.
If you come here to learn about he sees movies and how exactly approaches film-making you are going to be disappointed because Tarantino is not interviewed for this, only actors and producers he worked with along the way.
If you expect this to explore Tarantino as a person and a somewhat controversial figure in history and are especially interested in his controversies and what might be behind him (e.g. his relationship with Harvey Weinstein): They touch on it briefly but this documentary is not really interested in this, it seems to be only included because they had to.
From a production standpoint this season is great and I even like the futuristic world more than the old western setting. Especially the score got even better and I can't wait to listen to the whole thing on it's own.
The story of the season on the other hand is lacking a lot of what made season 1 so great. And I am not only talking about this season being more straight-forward in terms of story-telling but what is most lacking is just great character moments. There are a few in the earlier episodes and a big one in the last episode but most of the time they were removed in favor of action-sequences. This sequences are a lot of fun, don't get me wrong, but they are not what I originally came for with this series. Bernard always has been my favorite character and I love how he emotionally reacted to the things that happen to him and the things he finally made happen in season 2. But here not a lot of theses moments happen. Not to Bernard and not to any of the other characters.
Speaking of characters: There are just too many at this point. We basically got two more main characters and a new supporting character this season while carrying over most of the main characters of the other seasons (we got rid of almost every side-character tho). This is just too many. With only 8 episodes this season this is not enough time to give everyone the screen-time they need to make their arcs believable. A few main characters a only in half the episodes and one character is in even less (or only shows up for one scene which doesn't advance the plot). The story feels rushed and they go over a lot of important things so fast you sometimes think you accidentally skipped a whole episode. In the end I really think we needed a lot more time. Maybe 13 episodes this season with a bit more transition between season 2 and the beginning of this season would have done the story, which from the core idea is actually really fun and interesting, would have been better.
But all this aside, the most important question is: Was it entertaining and was it fun to watch? And the answer is: Yes, definitely.
Was I annoyed by the story sometimes? - Yes I was.
Do I hate the show now because of it? - No, the presentation is so good and the ideas are still big and I really dig the themes it tries to tell.
Would I recommend it? - Yes, if you are a big fan of the show. If you had problems with the show before: Nah, watch something else.
Will I be back in season 4? - Oh, hell yeah.
Waste of time. Philosophy for 12 year olds. Would give it a 0 if I could.
It should have been 30 minutes. It's way too long for the amount of content in it.

I like the music but this is unnecessary and adds nothing. Trying really hard to connect the songs of the "Tickets to my Downfall" album by MGK together into a story which barely works. Characters are really barebone and MGK and Travis Barker's apperances are disconnected to the story most of the time wich makes it feel like a long music video and not really a musical.
Skip it and just listen to the album.
I am not the biggest fan of Shakespeare and the kind of dialogue. The plot is preditable for a modern audience but the direction and the acting is really fun to watch.
Too bad my DVDs sound is so bad. The visuals were good but the sound was sometimes so bad I could barely understand what they were saying. Maybe digital releases are better. Seek out theses ones if you want to watch this movie.
Haha, absolutely laughable animations (especially fight scenes), rushed plot and therefore emotional scenes without emotions because I don't know any of theses characters. At the end there is a weird rape scene which was very disturbing. I couldn't bring myself to watch more than one episode.
Compared to the other seasons (first one was awful, second I stopped watching after episode 5) this is brilliant. Compared to actual good shows this is alright.
A lot of nostalgia helps, the first 4 episodes were the best this show ever was. The mystery is kind of meh, but at least it all makes sense. It has a few clever science-y ideas. The narrative made sense. Really loved the old crew. The new characters are alright.

dumb and silly but also fun
Started strong but couldn't deliver on their setups. Had a few good episodes but most of them where just ok or rehashes of season 1. This show really needs to get rid off all the cult stuff. I don't like anything with Meg, Laurie or Tom. The Murphys were great in the first few episodes but were sidelines for most of the season and the pay off didn't work for me. I want more Nora, Matt, Kevin and Jill (who was also very sidelined this season).
I hope the final season will be better.
