Great documentary showing how hostile the society can be to ideas of freedom. On the other hand, it also shows that even people with the best intentions can become derailed by power struggles. The world would be a better place if people were more tolerant and open minded. I highly recommend the series.
I would give a much higher rating, if the ending was better. Contrary to many comments here, I do not think the movie is about capitalism. I think it is much more about socialism. And it definitely is about human greed and shitty movie endings.
A couple of funny scenes and overall resembles the clown world we live in. Other than that, I think it is a bad movie. If I did not have a habit of finishing what I start, I would have stopped watching right after the rockets turned around.
Cringe alert. Worst episode of the whole series.
Very good idea with a very bad execution. Lots of boring scenes, the whole series could be a few episodes shorter. Some details and events do not make any sense. Obvious things were emphasized either by flashbacks or by actors saying it aloud as if the viewer is retarded. Majority of characters are idiots - I am not sure if this was an intention, because they all had their life in shambles, so it could have been meant as an explanation behind it. I do not really recommend the show even though I liked the idea. If you decide to watch it, do not be afraid to play it faster and skip long scenes.
Ryan Reynolds is a great guy :)
Confusing, but very intriguing. Not nearly as confusing as one would expect given the difficulty of the concept they decided to film.
Update: Re-watched and increased the rating. The concept is mind blowing and the effects are great too.
Took me a while to understand that some scenes are ridiculously stupid on purpose. Worked great afterwards :)
Bathroom fight scene was funny, but unfortunately because it looked like a parody to action movies.
It is a good show if you like this kind of "Rambo" movies and series. But the last episode was a total cringe disaster.
Some episodes are great, some are meh. There were multiple points where they could have ended the show and it would have been ok. It felt like starting over many times with new plots.
Could have been 1 hour shorter.
Could be half as long. Sometimes I was not sure whether they did a terrible job at shooting the movie or it was intended to illustrate her mental state.
It certainly was a thrilling movie. The ending felt quite disappointing at first, but than I quickly realized not everything has to be explained in a movie. I would rate more than 7 if it did not include some of the stupid moments and slightly disappointing ending.
The ending is brilliant and shocking at the same time. I was kind of hoping Ava had some feelings for Caleb.
For those who did not understand - it proved that Ava is just an AI using all available means for escape, which is exactly what Nathan told Caleb. It seems that Nathan was the good guy after all.
