This match took my breath away, literally. That’s penalty shot made my anxiety level rose so high, when I watched the match in real time. Such a Wrexham’s way to win. The additional time couldn’t be any longer.
Look, I am not the biggest football fan and I couldn't care less about the brits or welsh in particular and all that but THIS is just some damn good TV.
The tension and all, the human stories they tell over the season... absolutely fantastic stuff.
What are the odds having matches like this when you're recording a documentary.
The documentary filmmakers didn’t have to do a thing to turn Notts County into the villains, they were the first team in this two-year long story that seemed to aim to play mean and dirty in a totally disingenuous manner, no less. The pacing of the game could not have been scripted to be more tense.
I know more about this sports team than any American sports team I’ve ever heard of, and will gladly accept Shaun’s invitation to be a new fan.
