(from my old collection of anime reviews circa 2003)
Space opera action comedy
Season 1: The men and women of Earth parted ways long ago and formed separate stellar empires. On a dare, a lowly but proud male worker finds himself aboard an "alien" female spaceship. This is basically a fluffy comedy set in a really glitzy sci-fi background. There's some pretty cool space battles, done in CG, and the art is sharp and fluid. Good fun, especially if you continue with the second season.
Season 2: Continuing directly from the first season, there's a lot more character and plot development, the setting is fleshed out, and the story is concluded. A slightly more serious tone than the first season. Good fun.
