@TrUth - Ditto!
All in all, an interesting episode, with a fair amount of tension, given the instances of "implied" peril, right up to the creepy stalker employee either fracking up the flim flam, or inadvertently saving the day, along with Nathan, possibly right before he pigeon heads the train compartment. And of course Ingrid does her part by taking "Single White Female" to the next level with the brush cleanout. (Nathan 2.0, or would that be 3.0) However, as she was aware of what had just occurred, was she planning to hire a hitman? Or, are the follicles for Nathans half of the chromosomes needed for the upgraded bay bay? Enquiring minds want to know.
Looks like Aleesha MIGHT be making the transition from good friend / Ally to questionable corporate toady (read: villain) depending on how pissed she REALLY is with Nora. Hopefully not, but we'll have to wait and see. Well we're movin' on up... to a low level luxury apartment in the sky.....
Given his track record, what are the odds of Luke hooking up with Nathans Mom, if/when she arrives, Just a thought.
Hmmm...., if folks could ACTUALLY "upload", would the suicide rate go up, or down? Just sayin'.
Do we know when the next season is coming out??
I don't want to wait another 2 years again
NOOOO THE ENDING. MY EMOTIONS.
I LOVE this show but season 2 was really lacking something. I heard there is a season 3, so I really hope they do better!
What kind of ending is that? They run out of budget???
Luke's dreams, so perfect. I just can't stop thinking it. Hahaha
Well, that's the COVID-hit season out the way. Shame, because it was really building up momentum before it kind of abruptly ended. I made the mistake of taking a sip of water before the pigeon cutaway.
Great show and cast. Highly underrated all around IMO
This show has some really nice sci-fi ideas, and some funny secondary characters, but the main characters are so ridiculously beige and dull. I dislike both of them, and I can literally only root for Ingrid. She's at least sympathetic (and pathetic).
The storyline for this season was very poor, but I guess a virtual world restricts the actual plot options.
This was about as underwhelming as a piece of wet bread with marmite
An abrupt end to an underwhelming second season. The highlight was the chemistry between Nathan and Nora but what was with that ending? That was an episode ending not a season ending. I can only assume they had production issues because of the pandemic but wow. Really jarring.
What a horrific episode. I swear there's a missing episode. I want to rewatch to see what kind of locations were in this episode just to see if it makes sense that they had to reedit for covid reasons. Because the episodes starts off clearly 3 steps ahead of the last one which makes no sense. How did Nathan and Nora end up at the whitenoise waterfall? They were very clearly not there before. Aleesha was just a manager but now she's celebrating being a VP. She's coming off a tug of war about will she or won't she accept the company leash. Something that was just starting to be hinted at last episode. It couldn't be more clear that a full episode is missing. Even Ingrid's storyline has jumped from her starting the baby process in secret to now this episode she's already told Nathan and scheduled a final appointment to seal the deal something he clearly knows about and is fighting. I kind of feel like Luke downgrade to G-Rated dreams feels like maybe it's the end joke to her setting him to PG-13 and then PG and then G but to be fair even without that technically his storyline fits. But everything else just feels like it advanced somehow when I wasn't watching. I actually paused about 3minutes in to triple check that I wasn't missing some episode because I'm not in the US or something.
As an episode it was merely okay which is kinda raw considering the big things that happened. The big one being the Download that was teased. A risky procedure that has risky complications some of which we may or may not see. It involves Nathan making some big choices in orders that aren't necessarily obvious. It's all ends not in a cliffhanger or a big moment but a small one. The kind of thing you barely expect to end an episode much less a season. There's a lot of behind the scenes talk about the season length. Supposedly they "let the story determine the season length" which just reads like justification after the fact. I don't actually have any issue with the season length in general. 3 episodes, 10 episodes, 7 episodes I genuinely don't care. The problem isn't the number of episodes it's that they complete their story. Wheel of Time had this issue too. It's got a MASSIVE story to tell and squeezing it into 8 episodes just wasn't enough for the scale they were going for. EVERY episode felt rushed. What I'm seeing here with Upload Season 2 was perfectly paced and well done until this episode where suddenly the only conclusion we can make is they didn't have enough budget or health and safety for the penultimate episode. So rather than delay the show and try to complete it they just decided to skip it and go right to the finale.
As a season I enjoyed this only slightly less than the first. I really like the complexity to their characters. It's not the deepest show ever but Ingrid is a sympathetic villain. Luke was enjoyably consistent. Aleesha shows depth.
Nora is such a sleazeball, she will literally throw herself on almost anyone and sleep with them.
Tbh I didn't like this season and ending that much... :o The reunion of Nora and Nathan is strange and I'm not really feeling it. Ingrid played a big part but she's basically just stupid and annoying.
It had it's moments but overall it wasn't that meaningful.
And especially this final episode felt rushed (due the lack of relevant developments in previous episodes). The beginning felt like there was a huge time jump/gap and we missed many relevant things. Did I forgot that Nora broke up with Matteo or did they really skip that part? It was of course going to happen but I still would've liked to see it (I just remember Nora making Matteo sleep outside).
Ingrid's huge surprise did predictably flop.
"I owe you nothing. Goodbye."
Nathan must be so relieved.
I feel bad for Luke though. He already really misses Nathan :o ("Just in case!")
At least he'll have Nathan back though... :o xD
Nathan's mother uploading comes really unexpected.
Ingrid is becoming straight up evil.
And we're left with a huge cliffhanger at the end. Things aren't looking good at all! Imagine the real Nathan dies and only Nora will remember their first time (although I'm not really feeling their current relationship anyway) while the lakeview Nathan will have made completely different memories. There are two Nathan's now and the longer they coexist the worse it'll be... :o
