Tuca... my Tuca... This episode was just heartbreaking. The first season was amazing, of course, but this season putting Tuca front and center gives it a different feel. Bertie's issues in the first season built further and further into an explosive climax, from taking on Pastry Pete to facing her trauma. Tuca's arc has been more quiet but no less real. It's a steady, lonely, and desperate ache. She wants to be loved. And she is! But she doesn't want to be forever the third wheel, even for people she cares about, and it leads her to unfair compromises and swallowing down her pain, because she thinks the problem is her. And it's a serious mood. The contrast between her and Kara and Bertie and Speckle was so well done, and that dance sequence was just gorgeous. I both can't wait and am terrified to see the ending of this season. I just want Tuca to be happy...
