That fast/slow-mo fight scenes definitely remind me of The Matrix. Pavel is a pretty annoying character though... And leaving the half-destroyed weapon was an obvious mistake (even if it wouldn't self-repair it could likely be reverse-engineered; at least it could be fun if Pavel is stupid enough to fight Tesler with it but then Tesler would likely get his hands on it...).
