The motivation for the plot is missing. The first thing they did was set up hatred between the father and the son.
If they want the viewers to support a gay lead character, why would we also care about the death of the dad who disliked the character for being gay?
Why would we want to see the gay son spend any of his time investigating the death of the dad who was against him for being gay?
Why... why... why... why...WHY!!!?
This train wreck has thankfully been canceled...maybe there's hope for the world after all.
Concept seemed good, but questionable acting and then they had to shove the gay crap in our faces right up front... WHY? They're ruining all TV and Movies by inserting that crap...
Turned it off immediately, just like all the rest... guess I'm stuck watching quality TV from the 80's and 90's

Oh the hopes I had for you. While everyone brings their A game as actors, the characters and the story is too bland to save them. I could think of a million ways to do it better. The CW however set this show up for failure. By CW standards, a show needs atleast 18 episodes to fully establish itself. See you later if 10 years down the line someone does a reboot.

The problem with this show is that they tried to make a CW teen-angst show with a little sci-fi mixed in. They should have kept most, if not all the teen-angst out of it and made the sci-fi stuff better, more fun, more interesting.
Now that they set up a potentially really interesting 2nd season, find out that the show is most likely permanently cancelled. Oh well.

There is no way this show gets another season. So so bad.
It’s not…good. It’s as if someone had to finish this script in a rush.
It's grim and not in a good way.
How this got a green light I'll never know, not seen a show this bad in years.

This could have been a good story (I am currently on second episode) But seems like another show made just to shove leftst ideas down your throat. so far Dad hates gay son, gay son does everything he can to win dads love, dad died, son found out his not dead but must find and save him and he is only one who can while a secret group of people are against him The main casts are not likeable, their personalities are boring.
