This is the darkest, most brutal DC series to date (which seems to be applauded as authentic by fans of the source comic books). Lots of action. Lots of characters (and many of their backstories) of the younger heros of the DC universe. Taegan Croft is an incredible actress (most of this was filmed when she was only 13 years old). She's a solid anchor for the series and a treat to watch perform. The things that held it back for me: 1) a real absence of chemistry within the team - the tender moments misfired and the bonds felt forced by circumstances rather than forged by fire. Ironically, the most convincing relationship is Rachel and her mom. I think if you are going to have that much darkness and violence there neeeds to be a counterbalance of light and tenderness, otherwise we disconnect emotionally from the characters. Taegan/Rachel (Raven) and Minka Kelly/Dawn (Dove) seems to be the only actors/characters that balance heart and strength. 2) The backstory episodes slowed down the season's underlying story arch, stalling the momentum. 3) And, I'm up in the air about the season 1 finale: once again a sub-story pulled us away from any mounting, seasonal tension, even though I understand that it completes Dick's character arch of the season. I don't feel this qualifies as a seasonal finale, there was no seasonal resolve, which could have happen if we saw Rachel/Raven come into her own, balancing out Dick's arch. 4) Also, If Trigon is so overwhelming powerful (and evil) as to be able to warp reality, what compensating powers (or goodness) have we seen in our heros that will be able to oppose him? Once again it's a balance issue. Because of these issues, I can only give this series a 7.9 (short of great) out of 10. [Super Heroes Action Drama]
As a huge fan of the original TV cartoon, Titans has left me feeling super frustrated.
In my eyes they've ruined the characters personalities, looks and backstories. There's some hardcore action, violence, brutality and fantastic fight scenes but the story is absolutely dreadful.
The whole show is a huge attempt at being dark and gloomy, throwing in weird splashes of romance and overused cliches.
What a damn letdown.
Garbage written by interns. They could've just labeled this CW by HBO Max.
Not a good show, just your regular run-of-the-mill Netflix created garbage. Only good episode was the Doom Patrol one ONLY because the introduce the characters for one of my new favourite shows.
I really really really really hate to say... that I like it.
I looked it up, there is no body paint shortage, so you can buy any color even in walmart for 5 bucks. Lets be honest though. This whole series is so low budget I seriously doubt they will pay even 5$ for anything for the enhancment of the show.
I've watched all three seasons so far. This show is getting worse and worse.
plot: Like others said, there is too much relationship drama in the team.
dialogs: There are some good ones, but most of it is just a little below neutral :smirk:
acting: Horrible, horrible acting.
Potential that this show still have is being wasted. I like it's DARK, but actually there is not much in the show except it.
First season was very strong but it went downhill fast. Now it's only a bunch of interpersonal drama left
Dick Grayson deserves better friends, a better dad, and a team of writers that don't hate his guts.
Honestly, you should tread lightly with this show. Back when the first season premiered, I liked it. But I probably won't feel the same way rewatching it. My mental self has matured a lot since then. I was way too generous with what I rated episodes, seasons, and movies back then. I certainly viewed them differently. Now, while the second season was a breath of fresh air, freedom, and with more characters and (bigger) storylines than the first season, it fell short in many ways, but don't misunderstand. It has its moments. Though I feel the bad/not good outweighs the good. The writing can be subpar in an overall sense. But at the very least, I don't hate it.
definitely not a kid show. very greaty , very violent.
good character development very interesting storylines.
highly recommend
I just want to know where's the Cyborg.
sigh.. to keep it short, it was so boring to complete this season.
last episode was kinda interesting tho especially the batman scene.. of course
I dont think its worth watching. Look at that Starfire, honestly paint her or do smthing with her, she is awful. It is too avarage.
After reading that this wasn't very good on many sites I have to say I disagree - really enjoying it. Grittier take on super hero stuff and quite dark in places. Definitely worth a watch.
Good start! Awesome action scenes, not your typical kind of superheroes films. This is kinda like Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight, love its dark tone.
HOW does this garbage have 4 seasons?!!!!!!!
The very definition of "Out with a whimper."
Wow, everyone seems to be set on bashing this show. I've always considered myself to be a pretty easy audience - I usually know the difference between something good and something mediocre; however, I allow myself to enjoy bad shows and movies, like many of the Syfy releases, because as bad as they may be, they still entertain me, just not in the same way that a great movie or show might. I've always had a thing for superheroes and what they stand for, and I've seen my share of some really horrible productions like Shazam and ISIS from the 1970's, The Greatest American Hero, and The Incredible Hulk, to name a few. With that said, I really enjoyed this show, especially this last season, and Joseph Morgan even got to revisit his last major character, if only to take heart in his new role (some of you might get the pun without saying enough to flag a spoiler alert). I'm sorry that more of you didn't enjoy the show nearly as much (or at all for some) as I did. I also liked how the show wrapped up most of the loose ends while keeping the future open to character paths and his for a better tomorrow. Isn't that how superheroes are supposed to make us feel? Regardless, I will always be the eternal optimist, and this show proved to be another contribution to the philosophy that good can conquer evil, however long and arduous it may be. Is that the right word? Anyway, I am the one who liked this show, and I bet there are others as well, even if they aren't reviewers. Superheroes will always rock!
Typical piss poor TV. It looks like it was done by kindergardeneers
This is carbbage. Get rid of Dove. Replace Jason/Red Hood. both actors sux. Brink back Ravin. And fuckin give Nightwing black hair. And you can probably replace him to, I don't like the way he stands, it's just weird. Looks like a soccer dad on the sidelines. And make this shit DARK, fighting crime not each other. For fucks sake is that to much to ask for?
the biggest issue I have with the shell is that it seems to have a pacing problem. at least for me anyway I'm not a fan of picking up threads like free episodes after we get a cliffhanger on i. the fact that we didn't get a proper fight with Trigon at the end of season 1 really pissed me off. instead we got this weird Dick Grayson dreamscape and kind of just a quick resolution as season 2 started. and by the time that happened it seemed the writers had grown bored of Trigon and just wanted to move on without really giving a satisfying conclusion
Addicted to this show and the entire cast is great! Can't wait for S3!
Started out well but ultimately just like the other hero shows. The Mini-Me's are not interesting, too much back and forth in the plot. Not that it is that interesting or original in to begin with. A lot of filler scenes/episodes. You could have explained so many things with a couple of lines of good dialogue instead of always showing complete episodes at the most inappropriate time. Fight choreography isn't bad but you get all the typical hero poses. CGI is a letdown which could be excused due to budget. But it's adding to the pile.
Got bored at the end of season one and dropped out in the middle of the second. I'll probably would have finished it had the second season been the last. But with a 3rd on the horizon I am no longer interested. To each his own but I am really not made for superhero shows. Interestingly I find many of the older, animated, shows much more entertaining.
Probably the most lazy directing, story writing and dialogue I've seen in the last few years. Whoever decided to give people so lazy these characters, should be fired.
Absolutely terrible!
This is a side-note about the volume levels of this show. Anyone else noticed it's way off? You can hardly hear the soft whispering they do and then suddenly the action scene that you get thrown in has like 350% more volume. It's really annoying because I slightly increase the volume to hear them talk better and then suddenly the noise is louder than a cinema.. (It's not my setup; no other shows or movies have this).
I thought it was good. Can't wait to see next season if they have one.
It's been long since I binge watched a show (Altered Carbon) and this is great. Some slow episodes but still great story and plot.
My favorite show. It's amazing. Favorite TV show for sure.
it's better than every single boring too slow marvel show I've seen. and I saw them all :-D
We really Love this show
Yes i still am bummed about Starfire not being a hot redhead, but this actor is fine too i guess, and to be honest, this wasn't half bad as i expected it to be.
So much better than I expected. This is an awesome revitalisation for DC.
ok so i got to see the premeire of this haven't seen anymore since then but it was like really really good no doubt people will have something to say about it they always do but in my personal opinion it's fantastic and I hope to see so much more from this show as it's quite incredible one of the best of the new fall season and I highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a good time and loves teen Titans
Three lackluster episodes sprinkled with cliches and tired concepts (except maybe "family" antagonists). At least the other DCU TV properties embrace their camp and play into it. This is just bad; trying to be edgy and dark.
Mhm. Not that impressed. All still very bland and cliché, especially with how the F can't any tv show get by without turning every single f'ing boy-meets-girl situation into getting romantically/sexually involved with one another. JEEZ. It's getting sooooo old eyeroll. It's alright to pass some time but I'm not super enthusiastic about it.
I never wanted a series to be cancelled this bad. The storyline has plots that is not even important and forgotten. And btw who fucking kills Trigon in 3 episodes and decided to make scarecrow a villain for 13 episodes!!!!!.
And most of the time there's no action just supposed powerful characters having lame ass 2 seconds action scenes
Cancel!!!!!!!
Anyone thinking about starting this show...just don’t. Season 1 was decent but season 2 is all over the place with randomness. There is no focus & many times you have no idea where the show is going. It’s basically waste of many hours of your time.
one and no more. DCU is almost dead for me.
I've been eagerly awaiting this and I gotta say it hasn't disappointed. Great intro to Robin and that alley way beat down of those criminals was brutal! Loved it lol! Rachel (Raven) is looking quite intriguing, she was always one of my favourites from the original Teen Titan comics. Starfire is a lil bit puzzling, not like how she is in the comics (at least not the ones I read all those years ago) but she certainly looks like she's gonna be a kick ass character so let's see how that goes. And finally great to see Gar (Beast Boy/Changeling) at the end there, he's definitely gonna be the comic relief.
All in all I thought this was a great opener and I've given it an 8/10 so I'm looking forward to seeing how this first season unfolds :)
I really want this to be a good show but my gut tells me that we're going to be disappointed.
Like many DC TV series, the casting is terrible, and cliche storyline.
Please just end this series already.
So I just got done watching episode 5 of season 3. I understand, that the show is only using a small parr of the source material from the comics. That being said Red Hood is one of my favorite characters, but they've fucked up his story for the show. I mean Scarecrow being the one putting Jason in the Lazarus Pitt & not Talia Al' Ghoul utter bull shit! The only thing I like so far is that the Red Hood costume looks pretty good  I usually don't comment on this stuff but you're fuck'n up my boy Red Hood's story & I felt like I had to say something about it. Any other Red Hood fans out there feel the same way?
Strong first season. Second season is a joke. feels like it's just a bunch of super heroes holed up in apartments. How fun is that ?
Aside from the questionable casting of a couple of characters the show is really good... Namely starfire and batman. It would be way better if they moved away from the typical one-liners in the dialog because it makes it feel super cringy.
Definitely worth watching
Not as bad as everyone thought
But still pretty bad...
Holy Hole in a Doughnut! That was bad ass...absolutely amazing series. I can’t wait for all things DC universe bc I’m gettin tired of Marvel crap. Hopefully they don’t screw up like they have with the movies. Anyone looking to watch this show...do it now!!!
It's pretty good so far. I'll leave my current rating (8) as it is until I consider the show more worthy of a higher rating. If and when that occurs, it'll probably be during the second season as I'm sure it's going to be much better than the first season.
Hello everyone!
I must say I didn't had much expectation when I heard this show was gonna come.
But i was immediately hooked after the first episode, and what i personlly like most is howI dark this series is.
And also very interesting characters and story.
And now after watching the 10th episode I must say I really love this show somehow.
And from what I could see from the season finale trailer next week I think we will not be disappointing.
So want to say to the creators of this show, GOOD WORK!
And finally something really good from the DC Universe, keep up the good work.
DC needs it and defiantly we need it.
And for those who haven't seen this yet or is skeptical about it but you are as me a DC and Marvel fan, I highly recommend that you give this a shot.
Then again I understand it's maybe not for everyone and of course there are probably haters out there, and that is fine.
Take care everyone out there!

Unless the trailer was incredibly misleading, I liked the tone they set. My main concern is whether this Dick Grayson will sound more convincing as it goes. The trailer didn't do a good job of that but hopefully he'll grow into the role.
this is the kind of naive stupid show but really fun to watch, love it <3
This show has been steadily getting worst. First chapters were not that bad, but after mid first season it has been coming apart, the story is idiotic sometimes. But this last season, was truly non-sensical; too many ridiculous situations, too much drama. I only continued watching because i don't like unfinished things
5 minutes of 1 episodes of Seasons 3... who directed the actors ? They are overacting too much, the award of bad acting AND overacting goes to Curran Walters... God, I was so happy he died... but no, he's still here ! This show is more and more like Green arrow. Bad acting AND too much drama and cringe (but not that much of Joshua Orpin naked ).
I really like this show
Starfire is the minimal black presence on this show and it throws it off for me.
Despite some bad woredrobes for the heroes. Titans is easily a win for DC. Due to some insanely good action and a good cast.
I'm glad that they did a Live Action Titans..But I wish they had Cyborg also..I like how they keeping it Dark & Edgy like in The Titans Comic Books..But The Storylines could of been better...
Absolutely terrible, but the kind of terrible you have to see through to the end. There were pieces of coherence wedged between complete buffoonery.
why's season 4 not listed
Quit watching this after season two, I'm warning you.
I am a pretty moderate fan of DC. I love the characters OF this show, but not the characters IN the show. This show could have been much better, but ultimately reduced itself to a bland, run of the mill superhero show that never showcases the characters that the show is based on. Compared to other similar shows (Arrow, Flash, Doom Patrol, etc), this is noticeably on the lower level of overall enjoy-ability. Yes, the criticism seems harsher than my score, but it is because I still wanted to watch and enjoy it, there was just so much more room for a better product.
Average Season Review: 7/10
Recommendation: Skip (For Die Hard DC Fans)
Why is this cool show cancelled? ot it has potential for greatness . many more seasons, wasted opportunity the cast Ew are cool and they are also ending Doom patrol probably umbrella academy too. There will never be of its kind again.
The writing on this show, as on all shows created by Greg Berlanti and Geoff Johns, is just awful. Their storyline continuity couldn't be found by a team of writing experts w/ the most advanced tools known to humankind. They write teleplays that confound, have no bearing on the overarching state of the series, and combine it w/ the need for terrible CGI, intentionally dark lighting to mask those effects, and formulaic tripe they consider quality storytelling. I had hopes for this series, since Akiva Goldsman involved in the creation of it, but even his prodigious talents were weighted down by Berlanti and John's incessant need to be inferior. It's a shame, really, b/c there are actors who participated in this who are quite talented, and given a reasonable storyline, they could've turned this into a decent show.
This show is nothing amazing, but I have always loved the Teen Titans, so this show is one I knew I would watch. While it is not amazing, the story and plot are good and I enjoy a lot fo the characters in the show.
kill this show before it lay eggs
OK... Lex Luthor is a huge DC character to drop in this season. I've noticed that there are only 6 episodes of this season. If you M*therf*ckers cancel the show after this season, I WILL BE ONE PISSED OF FAN! STOP CANCELING SH*t!!! Love you're fan. LOLOL :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: :green_heart::green_heart::green_heart::green_heart::green_heart: But, seriously. Don't cancel it.
DC Comics really makes one start to question a villain's background story and the reasons for their darkness. I know that many of these broken people became heroes, but the darkness that hey battle every day is very real. I can see why someone who has a dark past and shattered dreams watches these shows, it speaks to that part of them that questions if they're the only ones.
This is one of the reasons I still pay attention to DC, the way they take realistic dark stories and show the battle within a person is, in a way, comforting.
Can we please get like 1 season that's a bit more lighthearted and where they fight like a team without all the drama. The show looks great and I love the cast but it's just been personal team drama for 3 seasons now
I've very upset with these producers!! :100: Season 3 kept being pushed back since November of last year! We are now in the month of May 2021! What the hell you guys are waiting for? Hell to freeze over?
Somewhere along the season I remembered something, it's something i first believed when the original trailer released, this show isn't it. This Robin isn't Robin, this Raven isn't Raven and The Titans aren't Titans. It shouldn't be R rated, or have sex scenes and excessive violence. It's a story of a bunch of kids trying to find their own identity. What the actual fuck happened?
I would have rated this show a 10, if it weren't for those BORING therapy sessions in the show.
This show has A LOT of major flaws, but it's still enjoyable to fans of the characters. It's worth the watch.

I'm blown away by the cinematography and production design of this show. I won't comment on the storyline because we're too early in to say, but so far, so good.
