Matt Hancock was very flatteringly cast...
THIS IS FICTION BASED ON REAL EVENTS.
I think all shows based on real events should have to state these exact words at the beginning.
I think shows like this can be dangerous to some people particularly the uninformed who will watch this and are unable to separate fact from fiction or they don't won't to because it fits their narrative other than that I enjoyed it, I'm not a Boris fan but I especially enjoyed the portrayal of his character in this.
An excellent portrait of the state of the nation in those dark months, other than the silly attempt to humanise and forgive DePfeffel's boozy "let the bodies like high" sociopathy.
Hancock was excellently cast, but his hair wasn't. After watching Andrew Buchan play a gangster in Better, seeing him play a coldblooded killer here was not much of a leap.

[Viaplay] It is not so much a portrait of Boris Johnson as a reflection of the irresponsible management of a global pandemic. In this sense, it disappoints the low critical level coming from a director like Michael Winterbottom. As if those responsible were pawns who weren't aware of the seriousness of their decisions. But provokes an interesting reflection on the responsibility of power in the hands of incompetents.
