Loved this show and the lead actress was amazing!
What happened to you, Chloe (My Mad Fat Diary)?
Absolutely amazing show. It really had me engaged every minute of it. I wish it was longer. I would have liked to have seen more about why he wanted her specifically, and what happened to her while she was there.
Only real bad thing I have to say about this show is that some moments near the end felt a bit dumb or cliche. For example, all the way at the end, she escaped just the last second before the building exploded. And the police just happened to figure out her location right at that same moment. That is just feels like one of those things that was done because they thought it would make for a cool shot, rather than something that is even remotely likely to happen.
Other thing I found kind of strange was that bit earlier on when she was charged for accessory to murder but revealed what really happened. I think it was more the way it went down, than the plot itself, but it just felt like she was lying to me. And I thought that the police would think the same, especially since they have suspected her of lying every step of the way so far. It wasn't until I saw their reactions that I realized "oh that was suppose to be what actually happened?". I thought it was also a bit of a waste to make her completely innocent in the scenario, instead of her doing it at least some what voluntary because of Stockholm syndrome or something like that. It doesn't really make sense with that security footage of how she actively sought him out in that shopping mall either.

Went back and forth on whether I liked this or not. I thought the lead was really good and there was a good amount of mystery surrounding her kidnapping but I also hated how everyone doubted her word because she did not act the "way she was supposed to". Like Stockholm syndrome isn't a real thing, like fearing your captor isn't real, like she wasn't kidnapped at 13.
This soured my enjoyment of this mini series too much for me to rate it higher.
