9x05 Lord of the Flies

This episode has a retro X-Files feel to it. It's a lot like one of those early season stories about someone who has a freakish skill or deformity or perhaps a kinder way to put it, a special talent. There's really no explanation for why the weirdness occurs and that usually makes for an interesting episode, which is the case here. Doggett and Reyes are really underwritten here, though. Only Scully and Dr. "Rocky" show the proper amazement and awe that the strangeness deserves.

I'm sorry, but did anyone by mistake read this as "Lord of the Files" and think this was a mythology episode? Took me too long to realise "Files" was actually "Flies." XD

This historic first time Aaron Paul was in a Vince Gilligan show.

I liked the scene where they made fun of their own network, when Aaron Paul said FOX were the only ones interested in his Dumb-Ass footage!
