a kinda underwhelming season finale but hey, segments of The Simpsons, Silver Surfer, and King of the Hill are seen in this, haha (also my childhood FOX channel toons); I'd like to see how things go on from this point on.. onto season 6!
The first movie is in order to see
Arriving here from [REDACTED] future, I can say that the title of this episode rings true. This mediocre season will prove to be the best that The X-Files had to offer (as a whole). It truly is, or should've been, The End.
Despite this, I shall persevere. I'm only slightly more than halfway through this show and ready to coast downhill all the way to The End The End. Wish me luck.
Oh, the episode itself? Well, it pretends that things that have happened countless times every season... didn't. Again. It's funny how we become acclimated to the grooves in an old record, even if the song is lousy. The End.
it always seemed a massive reach to me that gibson praise is the key to the x-files.
After this episode, watch the first x files movie then season 6.

This one concerns little Gibson Praise and the battle for possession of him. He has unreal psychic abilities that the Syndicate must control before he reveals all of their secrets. This is the episode that the Cigarette Smoking Man torches Mulder's office and much of the evidence of the X-Files. Mulder and Scully's little embrace in their burned out office lends a touching end to Season 5. The CSM is badass here and makes quite the reveal to Agent Spender. I hate Spender.
Secondary characters in this episode: Krycek, Gibson Praise, Agent Spender, Well-Manicured Man, Syndicate, CSM, Lone Gunmen, Diana
