In this episode we learn that Skinner is doing dirty work for the Cigarette Smoking Man. He is doing so in exchange for a cure for Scully's cancer. This is the episode when it is reveled that bees are part of an experiment to carry smallpox. I continue to be unimpressed with the Skinner character. Its like the guy is so tortured. I don't know if his role in the conspiracy is greater than has already been revealed or not.

Secondary characters in this episode: CSM, Marita Covarrubius, The Syndicate

Side note: Dumbest death ever no. 127. If you've watched the episode, you know. If you've watched the episode and aren't sure what I'm talking about, I don't want to know you.

Side note no. 2: Every time you look at Scully from this point forward, think of the children.

Another episode with no conclusion. Only more questions... and the joy that is retconning characters and breaking the rules of the world you created.

Oh. All this typed. Yes, I like The X-Files. Do I hate myself? What is happening? Also, I purchased a set of large wood picture frames (for this following purpose) and just received and mounted a large and wonderful custom "I want to believe" poster I had printed. I found the image online after losing an embarrassing amount of time spent trying to scratch an imaginary itch. It's done. Now I just need to figure out where the fantastic image is going to be placed. It needs to be where people can see it, because whether you understand the reference or not, it'll be a conversation starter.

Good episode, but one of my criticisms would be they spent TEN minutes on Skinner in the beginning covering up the evidence, when all this could have been done in a few minutes tops. What a waste of screentime.

And Skinner really covers up THIS amount of evidence? It's huge, would he really do that for Scully? And he has no assurances? And if he got caught he goes to prison for decades. Doesn't really make much sense.

But i do love how involved Skinner is in this episode. I like how he's investigating the case while simultaneously trying to cover it up. I like his moments with cancer man.

That bee attack scene at the school playground look so familiar. Was it recycled footage from a previous episode? Or maybe I'm mixing it up from that one episode of The Flash about the bees (S1E18 All Star Team Up).
