The real continuation of the Walking Dead right here. I suffered through some shiz to get this far, and it paid off.
Really good episode. Epic acting.
Have to say, I am pleasantly surprised. I have so far found all the other spin-offs very boring and I had very low expectations for this one. We will see where it goes from here but they seem to have finally found an interesting premise, and the first episode was well executed. While I was constantly zoning out with the other series, this one held my attention.
That was sooo cool, and that MOTHERFUCKING ending.
I was expecting 'em to reunite way later but I guess it's alright.
Also I hope we won't see Pearl again, she's useless and I can't stand her honestly.

I didn't make it to the bridge, but after Daryl, and this episode, I'm enrolled for this.
This is like Wanda & Vision's love story (for me).
A "secret city" with flags raised up high and helicopters going in and out.
Not a good start.
Why would Rick decide that he would be able to escape without hand and bleeding out when he wasnt able to escape in past when he wasnt wired up??
Why would it take so long to join the army when that was clearly a better option to escape.
Why not just have had him lose the ability to walk after bridge and use that as excuse along with someone lieing thst his family was dead with video/picture evidence taken during the bad times.
Then could have him finally recovering etc and conflicted with survivor guilt as well as debt to them for helping him walk again. Throw some kid into the mix that he gets close to that reminds him of his daughter and that is why he hasn't left etc.
Chopping of his hand was completely unnecessary
Just this first episode emphasizes so much how the show missed Andrew Lincoln.
Maybe it's just me having really low expectations after all the shit we had to suffer but this was genuinely amazing. Andrew Lincoln truly is the GOAT of this franchise.
This was a great new start into this spin-off!
So happy to see Rick after all these years again :)
THIS is the stuff that gets me excited about The Walking Dead universe! THIS is the level and care that should go into TWD!
Such a stpid show. Even from the beggining. They wanted to be a shocked LOL. NO rick would never kill himself out of pitty. NO rick would never si something so stupid as cutting his hand off when there was no chance of him escaping. You wanted it to come off as a Wow scene, NO rick is not stupid.
Then the alternate life scenes, when michone and rick meet in a bench, giak, Y
you wanted a Wanda Vision moment, you’re not good at it folks.
Hopeful For A Good Walking Dead spin-off for a change.
heyyy i’m so happy to see andrew lincoln back as rick again! it’s cool to see danai as michonne again also but it hasn’t been as long.
it was a slow episode but it was cool. i liked it. direction was pretty damn good, the shots looked great.
loved that moment at the end.
Boring. His dreams are boring. His stupid escape was boring.
I put off watching this due to the terrible other TWD spin off's, they have truly been shocking... This is not one of those, this is an excellent first episode and hope the rest of the season is this good!
If you're a fan of the original TWD you will love this new show!
Thorne's accent is so bad and unbearable. I've don't think South African's have that accent. At least not the ones I've spoke to in Cape Town.
It's an impressive start to the series! Reminiscent of Rick from Season 5. The big question now is whether they can maintain this level throughout.
I think the 1 episode was enough and they should stop. Now it will get worse and worse from here

WTF!! He chops off his hand the very first thing?? Well that's kind of lame. Rick not being completely whole kind of already makes me question whether I'm going to like this series or not.
The Walking Dead is back with a bang! Brilliant start to this limited series. I think we're in for a treat and I'm very much looking forward to everything that follows.
Andrew Lincoln is a fantastic actor. This is so much better than the other two spinoffs. I love it.

As an opener to what is to come, it seems like a good start but trying to understand where the story could go is still up in the air, what’s the future struggle? what is the overall goal for them coming together?
Gave good context for what happened in the past to present and the struggle both physically and mentally, looking forward to the overall story to unfold.
One thing I like about how the story is told is that love is very powerful and people will fight until there is nothing left for it.
