It's sad about her Mom but Jesus, Caroline's never going to be a proper doctor if she doesn't realise that someone looking fine does not mean that they are. She could have at least stayed and have the oncologist run some tests on the other patient instead of immediately running off to feed her mother a magical substance that no one quite understands.
