I would have liked more existential angst, like him struggling with the lack of memories in his apartment, but this is a pretty good episode with the dystopian technology.

This episode is set in the future, 1999 to be exact, when an unemployment rate of 32% has Simon Foster in a bind. He sells his memories at a rather technically advanced pawn shop where he eventually and predictably demands them to be returned to him. The ending wasn't surprising.
