An episode about the so-called "nice guys" that complain about not getting the girl. Season highlight.

I certainly appreciated the homage to "Groundhog's Day" - guy stuck in loop repeating same day, thinking key to salvation is to "get the girl in the end". But with a nice Twilight Zone twist that his obnoxious self-entitlement hasn't learned lessons on humility, patience, and respect. Also refreshing "reluctant warrior" portrayal.

I was worried this was going to have a romantic spin on it like Groundhog day. Super glad when she called out how utterly creepy it is to gamify winning her over like that. I realised the premise as soon as the title card was revealed unfortunately but didn't expect the direction.
Maybe that's because I was just talking about the time loop concept in my book club a couple of days ago! (reading the first fifteen lives of Harry August). Either way it was enjoyable enough and glad the creepy guy didn't get rewarded for that.

Okay, we get it. Toxic masculinity can ruin even nigh godhood. An otherwise great episode gets lost in preaching to the extent that the plot just grinds to a halt in them forcing the conversation to illustrate the point. If you can look past that - or you feel that - it's probably the best episode of the season. Otherwise, ew. I had so many hopes for this episode until it went from "solid sci fi premise" to "okay, yes, I hear you, you're absolutely right" to "okay, now you're just being preachy and I'm sick of it".
