Wow. What a performance by Jimmi Simpson!
If this first episode is any indication as to how good the rest of this new season will be, then we’re in for a treat.
The end is messed up. It was less PC. Though you could say that it makes a white man look like an idiot. Yet again.
There was a very overlooked film by Joss Whedon called In Your Eyes that was essentially this, only better - but this wasn't bad either.
I called the twist about the time he was beating tf out the husband. Not before that point though so pretty good going. I definitely had a bad vibe about Phil when Annie first stopped talking to him though. He definitely had 'incel' vibes. Good episode overall though. Drew me in and kept me there unlike most of season 1.
A rehash of the 1980s Twilight Zone episode "A Message from Charity". But still a great episode.
Dragged on too long, followed by a quick ending which was all too predictable. I’m giving this a 7 only because of the lead actors performance which warranted a better storyline.
Not terrible. Better than most from the first season at least!

Too long. I lost interest halfway through it. The original told simple stories like this in less than half hour.
