What is it with Disney shows and merchants cutting up cards that get declined? Lizzie McGuire did it with Gordo's credit card. Now this show has done it (in the third episode, no less) with a cruise ship cash card. Neither of those would be cut up in real life just for being declined once. Credit cards can be paid off, and cash cards can be refilled, y'all.
