"No man, for any considerable period, can wear one face to himself and another to the multitude, without finally getting bewildered as to which may be the true."
The break-down of relationships and the growing distances and all that jazz. Another great episode.
Best episode so far. It felt like a standalone movie, and the trip actually felt real because it wasn't rushed. Really enjoyed seeing the family dynamic of Tony and his daughter.
This one was hella boring. I almost fell asleep. Barely any action. And didn't feel like the previous episodes.
It's a beautiful episode. Last episode his boy found out, this episode his daughter gets her confirmation. The dialogues between Tony and Meadow are wonderful. If you haven't noticed by now: this show is about people and their relationships - it's not primarily a crime saga.
He is a schnorrer indeed (nice German-Yiddish word btw. Very common in German. Didn't even know it's Yiddish).
I feel like the car scenes of their close up reactions were filmed in the studio before they filmed the actual drive lol
The episode's question to the audience is: Does the person who does everything in his power to frustrate his own salvation actually deserve it?
Hell, the question even might be: Does it even mather if we are just going to hide within the roles established by these salvation narratives (Tony as a good father, Carmela as a remorseful believer and Jamie as exemplary college student)?
Again, great stuff so far.
