Man fuck Livia and her whole act. ("I know what you did." Straight outta The Godfather Part II, and very appropriate too.) God, I wish she was dead. Same thing with that hypocritical leach of a priest, who Carmela describes far more eloquently and precisely than I ever could.
Good episodes overall, though not quite as good as the past few ones. (The Artie confrontation seems a bit overdramatic too.) But man, what a sweet ending; a great conclusion to the season.
Everything comes to such a beautiful head here, and Galdofoni’s bouts of rage are so visceral. The spittle flying from his face, the humorless vicious grin. He deserved all the praise he got. And Livia is such a good antagonist she’s got me wondering how much of her mental state is an act when I should know better. Great stuff, and I’m excited for more.
A very solid season finale. All these people are evil.
