More of the same as season 1, introduction of the seasonal Treehouse of Horror tradition. Also, there is a very noticeable improvement in the animation.
The Simpsons continues the hilarity into a second season that delivers even more laughs. With the characters established, the show starts to explore their quirks and develops their chemistry with one another. This season delivers such classic episodes as “Bart Gets Hit By a Car,” “Oh Brother Where Art Thou?,” “Homer vs. Lisa and the 8th Commandment,” “The Way We Was,” and the first “Treehouse of Horror” anthology episode (which became an annual tradition for the series). Additionally, several major stars make appearances, including James Earl Jones, Larry King, Danny DeVito, Ringo Starr, and Dustin Hoffman. Also, Phil Hartman joins the cast as a recurring guest star; debuting his signature character of shyster lawyer Lionel Hutz. Ridiculously funny, Season 2 of The Simpsons is incredibly entertaining.
With the success of The Simpsons back in 1989, a second series was put on to air and was better than its predecessor. The Simpsons series 2 contains some hilarious episodes e.g. Homer Dancing, One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish (One of the greats), Bart The Daredevil, Brush With Greatness, Lisa Substitute (My favourite episode the series), and many more great ones. What I love most about this series is that they introduced the chilling Treehouse Of Horror series which they have made 29 eps so far. Some episodes on this series can be forgettable, and some episodes are just plain silly and bad, but other than that Simpsons series 2 is a hilarious series with great episodes which improve upon the first series.

Season 2 of The Simpsons improves on its initial season, with a fair amount of quality episodes, to make for a decent season of television.
