I didn’t expect to enjoy this show. I’m not interested in sports and I don’t really know who most of the guests are. And it’s not NOT about sports, but it’s coming at it from an angle I didn’t expect. I’m not uninterested in the experiences of athletes-it’s always cool to learn about something you don’t know anything about and get a peek behind the curtain of a world you are never going to be a part of. It’s not something I’ve heard before, how it feels to be black and an athlete and getting signed to a team and figuring out how to use their platform-it’s more frank/honest and smart than I expected. I have no concept of how famous or not famous or talented these athletes are but hearing about their experiences was so compelling and funny.
