The Crimson's the plague of every fantasy universe. Yes there's bound to be an army of people who hate magic. But please, you don't have to make it a long term antagonist, that's boring. A giant German imperial eagle as symbol, really ? And a gate with teeth ? Once again, buildings are really subtle in this one. Ideolog is always the same, and their rhetoric can't stand two seconds scrutiny. Like who will fight demons wthout magic ? Riga ? Apparently he weren't that good at it the previous time.
But Allanon is pretty hard to defend too. He did sacrifice a lot of people for his vision of the greater good. He's usually right, but he thinks he's always right. And the threat of the return of the Warlock Lord, brought back because of someone he trained to be his successor is not a really convincing argument.
Jax confirmed as a really cool character. "I prefer weapons master" Really ? Yes, really! However, so stupidly played on a dare... But of course he will turn out to be a nice guy only turned cynic bounty hunter necause of some stupid trauma...
Funny to have Wil say that Mareth has magical abilities she can't control. She's easily ten times better than him. And I wonder if that's really the place Eretria suggested to hide the bombs ?
Allanon has an obvious successor now. So I guess there's no purpose for Bandon anymore if he were not the enemy. So I guess he'll probably die, preferably sacrificing himeself for the greater good to redeem his crimes.
And wow there's a lot of blood in Wil! This jar clearly contains much more than a human body can have, and he's still talking.
