i am so sad that amberle is now gone..her love story with Wil was so short >:((((( but i am happy that she accepted her duty to become the Ellcrys...
Sad to see amberle go. I read the books so i knew she would go but still sad to see it. Also sad to see the actress playing her gone. She was perfect for the role more than Wil's actor is. Hope this gets remewed for a season 2 with more episodes :-)
SHE BECAME A TREE! o_O
The 100 meets Lord of the Ring.. And Its handicapped prodigy its called The Shannar's Chronicles. The Demon part of the show is exceptional, LOTR level... All other things are so poor, it's not even worth watching. The actor playing Will is well chosen and well played. Eritrea and Amberlee... amators... The only thing i waited the whole season for is to see one of them go down on the other (and it almost happened). The writers wasted the Demons for this 1* show, even though i know it will continue, I had hoped they'd kill it. Among the worst shows very similar to the Archer. I've seen numerous times what bad writing can make of a show
Now that's a way to start a finale. The Ellcrys dies because a human is the seed. The tree dies of old age. Amberle is the new seed. Her path has always lead to this. But can she make the choice to sacrifice herself to save them all?
I love the relationship between Wil and Eretria, in between Friends and friends with benefits. They love each other, but aren't in love with each other. Though Eretria instantly asking for Amberle as soon as Wil saves her. Eretria sacrifices herself a second time to same Wil and Amberle. She kisses Wil goodbye but I also feel she should have kissed Amberele too. Even if it wasn't romantic, which I feel it wasn't with Will, Princess Rover should have kissed as a goodbye, take care of yourself.
Eretria's sacrifice pushes Amberle to accept her faith. To accept she must become the new Ellcrys. And as a finale goodbye she declares her love for Wil and the sleep together. I love how they filmed this. Just flashes of kissing and touching and body parts basking a warm light. It's sweet, tasteful and romantic.
For the finale, we get a great full on battle scene, large scale and lots of blood and dying, even some fireworks. The production quality is again not something I would have expected for an MTV show. The best part of the battle was seeing Ander having to kill his semidemon brother, especially after he begs to be released. Way to pull at your heart strings.
Another highlight of the finale battle is watching Allanon and The Dagda Mor fighting. Reminds me of Dumbeldore and Voldermort fighting: matched in skill and force, but ultimately Dagda Mor being to much for Allanon. Instead, Wil (aka Harry) is the one to fight him off. But out of nowhere, Allanon pulls off a badass sword move to kill the Dagda Mor.
In probably the most heartbreaking scene, Amberle tells Wil what her faith is to be. And the look on Wil's face is torture. How he breaks. But equally heartbreaking, when Wil confronts Allanon about knowing Amberle's fate, how he knew all along what must be sacrificed to save them all.
Where we stand for S2: Even though the Dagda Mor was defeated, his presence still lives within Bandon... who I'm guessing is the new evil for s2; Wil leaves to find Eretria, while Ander becomes King (while his whole family is gone or dead).... but the greatest reveal of the end, is Eritrea being taking prisoner and she knows who the leader is. Is it the Rover leader, who sacrificed himself for her? Is it her first owner? Or is it someone else from her past that we hadn't met?
I indeed like the series' initial plot with the demons and seed storie and how all the three protagonists were brought together because they had a greater purpose, but all the drama and love triangle stuff was unnecessary and the ending was really disappointing
Aaron Jakubenko's ass is the only real good think worth to watch in this series.
The general idea is very interesting but the direction, script and cast are terrible.
it was pretty obvious even if you hadn't read the book

Eretria is the only good thing about this TV-show. And I really hope they don't stick to the book and give her a girlfriend next season (Will is so boring). Why bring it up otherwise -.-
