There's this retcon story arc where Tim Bradford is a dick to Lucy because she needed that tough love. This is ridiculous. It doesn't match ANY of the character we've seen for almost THREE SEASONS. I'm chalking it up to another case of "We're a cop show trying to reform from BLM". For the records I'm okay with cop shows trying to be better. This was just a failure of an attempt one of many The Rookie has had.
What the hell are they doing to Lucy? She Uses to be a fun character and now they keep making her more and more needy and whiny and annoying… for a show that is so interested in being politically on the ball (which I do appreciate, for sure, even if it sometimes feels like they are cramming societal issues down my throat more than they are actually making a show) it’s rather strange that they go the traditional route with a female character being so petty and needy. Bletgh!
