One of the lighter episodes of the show (a mode I think I prefer, even though The Rookie generally gives great action). Every storyline was well served; I never felt like I was impatiently waiting for the shift back to the one plot I cared more for than the others. Mekia Cox and Richard T. Jones' dead-pan-off might have been the highlight for me; what an unexpectedly delightful duo.
This episode was pretty uneventful. Hardly anything happened. But it was a break from the fast-paced, non-stop action, so that's a good thing for some, I guess.
Good to see the Firefly/Serenity mate. Disgusted with the 'product placement' though.

Product placement galore, I kept waiting for it to be a joke but… nope. Funny episode with solid laughs, most of them because of Alan Tudyk who is, as always, absolutely fantastic!! Hope he stays!! (That scene where he threw the pipe… TOO funny!! I always wonder if he adlibs all those dumb things he does?) Hate the John/Grace thing though, even if it WAS cute that she remembered his birthday.
the writer really want soo bad to put Nolan and his ex together again ... he even kick out his psycho girlfriend cop LMAO.

man they are really expanding the cast this season. It really cuts into the policework but we have extended family, we're seeing other employees. I mean i saw Alan Tudyuk's name and then when he showed up at a crime scene I assumed he was a mastermind. Then Sara Rue showed up barely recognizable, I think she's lost even more weight, and this is really growing. I'm not sure how I feel about that though.
