Honestly, this was a boring episode. The centric plot of a missile potentially hitting Los Angeles was pretty ridiculous, and of course, never went anywhere. I guess you can consider this to be a character-driven episode as the thought of incoming death drove characters to one another or whatever. I didn't. And if that was the overall purpose, it wasn't executed properly.
Oh how interesting. It's the incoming missile episode. I presume it's going to be a fake alert like the one that happened in Hawaii but hey anything for drama right? The only thing to do is bump some Ma$e

Ex-Husband Don loses points for wanting to arrest the mother of his child for kidnapping during a literal nuclear threat. I mean of all the mitigating circumstances. Chill out guy.
I maintain that when you cheat on a girl with her best friend. When you decided to marry that best friend the only reason to invite the girl is to let her know and not be surprised and that could be done with a post card.
The threat was too big, the stakes were too high.
ACAB
Ok so in the ACAB corner I think I'll highlight all the ways the show tries to make cops look better than they are. This is not normally a reflection on the show or it's quality. In this episode we see an officer running from a dog. In the real world cops shoot dogs like they grow on trees. It's the only thing they shoot more than black people. The difference is that at least people care enough to acknowledge that it's a growing epidemic when it's dogs

Over the top threat, way too convoluted B and C stories, too many clichés.
All while being too predictable. Worst episode so far in all of The Rookie episodes.
Yet the premise was something new, I guess.
