The Resort 2022

Just finished episode 5, the first few episodes (1-3) take a bit to get through because they are building all of the characters. But episode 4 really starts to find its groove. You have to go in with the idea that everything is a bit far fetched (15 year old sim cards still working, hurricane suddenly changing directions, etc) but it is a fun watch! Im hoping that it wont be dragged out too long

The writers for this show are complete lunatics, and I love it

It’s really good and it gets better and better with each episode. I just hope it can deliver by the end. Currently on episode 4.

I gave The Resort a rating of 7 out of 10. The idea behind the series is interesting, but unfortunately the execution was not as strong.

The first few episodes were quite promising and grabbed my attention right away, but as the season went on, the story started to lose some of its momentum. While it was still enjoyable to watch, there were some flaws in the plot that left me a little disappointed.
Overall, I think The Resort is an interesting series. If you're looking for something to pass the time, it's worth giving it a try, but don't expect anything exceptional."

One thing I really liked about the series was the casting of the main actors. They all performed their roles very convincingly and brought a real dynamic to their characters.
However, while I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters, I felt that some of the relationships could have been explored more deeply. Some of the subplots were not as well developed as I would have liked and I found some of the plot twists a bit predictable. Overall, I think there was a lot of potential in the series, but unfortunately it wasn't fully realized.

Absolutely insane and magical. A very fun ride.

Where did the gay couple go from episode 7. Fucking liberals and their need to add random woke shit at the expanse of breaking a good story flow.

Pre woke eta we had comic relief in the shows. Now the comic relief is provided by actors portraying gays. Why is that necessary?

It’s ok. Would never watch again. Not sure what I was expecting but most mystery type shows are logical. This is more of a fantasy type ending. It’s different.

Fantastic show and good pacing so it never feels slow. Although the main character Emma is very unlikeable.

This was one of those rare series that actually walks the comedy/emotional drama line really well. Will not be a show for everyone, and it starts reasonably slow as you are learning who all the characters are, before episodes 3-4 when the mystery starts going wild.

Episodes only being 30ish minutes was a big help in getting me through those initial episodes, as I'm more likely to "oh I'll throw on one more since it's only 30 minutes" versus shows that go for an hour.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Sam and Violet and their comedic banter, but acting across the board was really solid while also being able to deliver comedic timing that landed for me more often than not.

Funny, good story, good acting and an ending that doesn't suck... just great!

At times it has the spirit of Robert Zemeckis' 80s adventure films, and manages to balance mystery, comedy and science fiction. But it's also an interesting reflection on time, and our ability to transcend the past in a disappointing present. There is an undercurrent of disillusionment in the stability of the couple, and good moments of comedy in the performance of Luis Gerardo Méndez, although the season finale is too open.

Started out boring and the boring didn't stop till I turned it off.

Also, the word comedy doesn't apply to this.

I just want to point out that a woman is SO BORED while on vacation that when she finds an old cell phone laying on the ground she acts like she has found a secret treasure! She CANT WAIT to get it working again!

That is the hilight of the show!

Instead of having relations with her spouse, she wants to deal with a germ filled object she found out in the jungle!

She is reading someone's old text messages and looking at their photos from the phone!

No human being would do this on their vacation. I can't watch past this point.

She finds an old Razr flip phone in the jungle, then buys a similar phone from a 2nd hand phone shop and swaps the SIM card to read the messages and view the pics. The mystery then begins. This show has a big Lost vibe to it after watching ep 4 and 5.

First episode, might be ok. But we're supposed to believe someone found a flip phone that had been in the jungle for 15 years and still worked. AND it's sim card is interchangeable with a current iPhone. Uh no
